Montgomery, Alabama, August 7, 2023: The Speedway celebrates it’s 70th Birthday the Schedule shows different divisions scheduled for 70 lap races. The Saturday of SPEED looked a little different this year with twin 70 lap races for the Show me the MONEY Pro Late Models at MMS. Dawson Sutton #26 and the Rackley W.A.R Racing Development team had the fastest car right off of the trailer on Saturday, leading both practice sessions and qualifying the #26 Chevrolet on the Pole for the night’s first feature.
After the re-draw, Sutton would start 6th with already 2-time winner this season, Hunter Robbins leading the field to green. Dustin Smith #33 would start on the outside of the front row. Hunter Robbins #18 jumped out to an early lead with John Bolen #2 and Christopher Tullis #12t both working their way up through the field before a caution would stack everybody back up with 5 laps to go. As they raced to the checkered, Hunter Robbins #18 would pick up his 3rd win of the season at Montgomery Motor Speedway in just his third start on the year. John Bolen #2 would pick up his second runner-up finish and points leader Christopher Tullis #12t would score his third podium finish on the season.
