Montgomery, Alabama (April 20, 2026) — Racing is set to return to Alabama’s House of Speed with the running of the Spring Explosion on Saturday, May 2nd. The event will feature a plethora of racing action from a variety of divisions.

The headlining event of the evening will be the Spring Explosion 100, the second event of 2026 for the Show Me The Money Pro Late Models. Jake Finch took home the victory in the first Show Me The Money Race of the season, the 62nd Annual Alabama 200 on March 7th. Many strong Pro Late Model teams are set to return to Montgomery for the Spring Explosion.

Another notable event that will take place at the Spring Explosion will be Race 1 of the 2026 Street Stock Tri-Track Cruise Quest. The Tri-Track Cruise Quest is a small series for the Street Stock division, comprised of three races. The first event will be held at Montgomery Motor Speedway on May 2nd, with Races 2 and 3 set to be part of a doubleheader weekend between Five Flags Speedway and Mobile International Speedway on Friday, June 26th and Saturday, June 27th respectively.

The driver who emerges above the rest at the conclusion of all three races will win tickets for a cruise. A random drawing will also be held for drivers who participate in all three events, and that random driver will win a cruise as well.

In addition to the Show Me The Money Pro Late Models and Shelby Concrete Street Stocks, the Black Sheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsmen and Hometown Automotive Solutions Crown Stocks will also participate in the Spring Explosion festivities.

It’ll be an event that race fans can’t afford to miss. Grandstand tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and kids 5 and under get in for free. Grandstands open at 5:00 pm, with qualifying at 6:00 pm and racing at 7:00 pm. Be there!
