Montgomery, Alabama (August 17, 2026) — Four feature events between three racing divisions provided quite the spectacle for fans at Montgomery Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
The Saturday of Speed was headlined by twin 73-lap features for the stars and cars of the Show Me The Money Pro Late Model Series. In addition, the South Alabama Plumbing & Electric Outlaws and the Hometown Automotive Solutions Crown Stocks held feature events as well.
Dylan Fetcho Sweeps the Pro Late Model Twin 73’s
Lebanon, Tennessee’s Dylan Fetcho (no. 89) came into the weekend with zero wins at Alabama’s House of Speed, but left with two. Fetcho originally qualified in fourth position to start the evening, but an advantageous redraw saw him start on the outside of the front row and take an early lead.
Fetcho put on a dominant performance in the first 73-lap contest, parking his machine in Front Porch Grill victory lane after fending off Show Me The Money Series points leader Jake Finch (no. 18). Fetcho would then go on to start the second feature from the pole, courtesy of another redraw.
From that point onward, it was the same story all over again. Fetcho went on to dominate the second Pro Late Model feature, scoring his first and second career victories at Montgomery Motor Speedway in the process.
“As a group, we needed this,” said Fetcho. “We’ve had a pretty rough past few months. Tonight, we hit on something and it worked all night long. I can’t thank everybody enough that helps us out. I was pretty confident all weekend. We found something that worked earlier in the day, and we just stuck with it. After that first race, I knew for sure we had something.”
Behind Fetcho, Jake Finch finished second in both feature events.
“We always have a good race car,” said Finch. “I get to let these guys tune on it a bit here. Didn’t practice at all today, and thought we had a decent car. Just missed it a little bit.”
In Race 1, Garrett Gumm (no. 5) finished in third to round out the podium behind Fetcho and Finch.
“Pretty good for a car that was in pieces on Tuesday,” said Gumm. “We were rolling the outside. I think I burned it up too much. The right-rear kind of burned off towards the end, so we fell back pretty good. It was a really good car.”
“Mr. Montgomery” himself, Augie Grill (no. 43), rounded out the podium with a third-place result in Race 2.
“That race was a lot better than the first one,” said Grill. “We just went way too loose there early. That’s why we came in and made a few little adjustments there at the first caution in the first race. It was a lot better there, just needed a little more.”

Timothy Watson Continues his Winning Ways in the Outlaw Late Models
Timothy Watson (no. 28) showed once again why he’s been the class of the field in South Alabama Plumbing & Electric Outlaw competition this year at Montgomery Motor Speedway.
Setting quick time in qualifying but starting the feature event in sixth, Watson had to climb his way through the field in the 40-lap Outlaw Late Model feature. Watson grabbed the lead rather late in the race, leading the final 12 circuits en route to Front Porch Grill Victory lane.
The win marked Watson’s third victory of the season, and he’ll continue to extend his points lead.
“[Jesse Dutilly] was doing an awesome job keeping me behind him. I was able to watch the first Pro race and I saw Garrett Gumm make the outside work a little bit, so I figured I’d just try it, and it worked out. Normally it doesn’t work, even here. Tonight, I guess with the track being green, we were able to make it work.”
Jesse Dutilly (no. 33) led a large portion of the event before ultimately finishing in the runner-up position. Donald Crocker (no. 22c) rounded out the podium, with Spencer Bragg (no. 08) and Dylan Courtney (no. 22d) completing the top five.

Austin Reeves Fends Off Adam Salter to Score Fourth Crown Stock Victory of the Season
Two heavyweights in deep south Crown Stock competition duked it out on Saturday night, with Hometown Automotive Solutions Crown Stocks points leader Austin Reeves (no. 6) emerging victorious.
Like Timothy Watson in the Outlaw feature, Reeves had to start the Crown Stock feature event from sixth place and work his way through the field. It didn’t take very long for Reeves to take the lead though, as he led 23 of the 25 laps en route to victory. Reeves had the added pressure of fending off Adam Salter (no. 8), who has proven to be one of the winningest drivers in Crown Vic competition over the last few years.
Regardless of the looming presence of Salter in Reeves’s mirror, he returned to victory lane for the fourth time this season at Montgomery Motor Speedway.
“Any time you have one of those BMR guys behind you, it’s gonna be a race,” said Reeves in victory lane. “He rode my bumper pretty hard and I really had to hustle. Lap traffic had me sweating bullets.”
With Reeves finishing at the top with Salter in second, Zachary Abdelwahed (no. 13) rounded out the podium in third. Justin Cruise (no. 45) and Spencer Bragg (no. 08) completed the top five in fourth and fifth respectively.
