Stepping aside from the regular classes that compete at Alabama’s House of Speed, there were some important events that Montgomery Motor Speedway got to be a part of that are worth mentioning.
The Southern Super Series Super Late Models made a visit to Montgomery back in April for the Rumble by the River. That event saw Jake Garcia (no. 35) take the victory in dominant fashion. Garcia is no stranger to Montgomery, being a previous winner of the Alabama 200. Despite being a current competitor in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Garcia’s impressive performance showed that’s it’s always good to get back to your roots.

Alabama’s House of Speed was also part of the Street Stock Tri-Track Cruise Quest, a three-race championship between Montgomery Motor Speedway, Five Flags Speedway, and Mobile International Speedway. Tre Huff emerged victorious at the Tri-Track Cruise Quest’s event at Montgomery.
Another event, this one off the track, that Montgomery Motor Speedway got to be involved in was the Capital City Car Show. In conjunction with the City of Montgomery, the speedway was host to several awesome automobiles of various kinds in what turned out to be quite a fun celebration of local car culture.

2026 had a lot of things in store for Montgomery Motor Speedway, and there’s even more fun events in store for the next season. Montgomery Motor Speedway wants to thank all the racers, crew members, fans, vendors, media, and everyone else who made 2026 such a success. We hope you support your local short track, and we especially hope you make it out to Alabama’s House of Speed in the near future.
