Lineup Changes Announced for Season Finale Event

Montgomery, Alabama (September 4, 2026) — The Alabama State Asphalt Championship on Saturday, October 17th will feature a slightly different lineup of racing than what was previously announced earlier this year.

Firstly, the Black Sheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsman feature has been increased to 73 laps in length, with $1,000 going to the winner. The lap count pays tribute to 73 years of short track racing at Montgomery Motor Speedway, an impressive feat for one of America’s most storied racing facilities.

Another change for the October 17th event is the removal of Pro Trucks from the lineup. The night will now only feature the Show Me The Money Pro Late Models, Shelby Concrete Street Stocks, and the 73-lap contest for the Black Sheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsman class.

More information on the Alabama State Asphalt Championship will be released closer to the date of the event. Race fans and competitors alike are encouraged to follow Montgomery Motor Speedway on Facebook and Instagram for future updates.
