The second race of the evening was the 100-lap Show Me The Money pro late model feature with longtime rivals #2 John Bolen and #91 Jim Wall leading the field to the green. The action started immediately as contact between Bama Budweiser Fast Time Qualifier #68 Aidan Potter, #84 Jackson Boone, and #43 Augie Grill resulted in a flat tire for Potter. He was towed to the pits but returned to the track from the tail end with a fresh right front on lap 1. Drama continued on lap 42 when three-time series champion #12 Christopher Tullis made hard contact with the front-stretch wall. On the following restart, contact between Grill and Bolen sent Bolen spinning and brought out the third caution of the night. Tullis, Bolen, and Grill all restarted from the back of the field with 57 laps remaining, while Wall, #18 Jake Finch, and #67k Zack Dixon made up the top 3. After leading 62 laps, Wall settled into 3rd After the pass by Finch and Bolen, and 7 laps later, #51 Trey Grimes had a hard hit into the turn 1 wall, ending his night and causing the 4th caution.

Restart infractions on the next two restarts by Finch brought out the black flagged and sent the #18 to the rear, Giving Bolen the lead, Wall back in 2nd, and Potter to 3rd. With 5 laps to go, #33 Dustin Smith and #84 Jackson Boone both ended up in the wall, causing a red flag and a 5-lap shootout to the finish. Boone was towed to the pits, while Smith rejoined the tail-end of the field. However, 2 laps into the final 5 laps of the race, Smith lost power, causing the final caution and resulting in an unbelievable green-white-checkered finish. Rivals #2 John Bolen and #91 Jim Wall started side-by-side while #68 Aidan Potter, who is currently tied for the points lead with Wall, was just behind in the 2nd row. After 3 intense laps with 3 intense drivers, Bolen ended the night in victory lane for the 2nd time this year at Montgomery Motor Speedway. Wall finished 2nd, marking his 3rd top 5 of the year, and Potter had a career-best finish in 3rd.

“I knew if we took our time and didn’t tear anything up, we could be there at the end, and it all worked out,” Bolen said. It sure did work out for the #2 car, and he took a trophy all the way back to Jasper, AL to prove it.
